얼마전 LNG pre-treatment process 프로젝 하나를 끝냈다.
까다로운 고객사 중 하나인데 공정설계, 장비설계보다 마이너하다 볼 수 있는 data 들로 시간을 좀 들였었다.

Hydrocarbon removal 공정은 일반적으로도 있지만 UOP 공정은 좀 더 단순화시킨 temperature swing adsoprtion 기술로 heavy hydrocarbon, water, organic mercaptan sulfur 같은 것들을 제거하는 LNG 공정의 전단계이다.

이 공정은 Mercury removal unit으로부터 받은 feed gas를 Adsorber에 통과시키고 Regeneration compressor로 보내 다시 recycle 시킨다.
Main rotating 장비로 regeneration gas compressor 가 필요하다.
Gas 는 Natural gas: Methane, Hydrocarbon mixture이고 압축비도 blower 수준이라 어렵지 않지만 suction 압력이 60 bar 이상으로 높은 특징이 있다.
Operation case도 보통 15 case 이상이라 governing case를 잡는것도 필요하고 중요한 case를 정리하는 것도 손이 많이 간다.
다양한 조건임에도 불구하고 fixed speed driver, throttling control, anti-surge protection 을 기본으로 하기에 이런 조건들을 구동하는데 특화된 vendor 장비를 주로 쓰는 제한을 가지고 있다.
